View Fresh was envisioned by Don and Tom Bailey. Don Bailey was a 2nd generation cherry farmer with a degree in physics and chemistry. Tom (Don’s son) is a 3rd generation cherry farmer with a degree in Packinghouse Management. The View Fresh, modified atmosphere packaging bag, (MA Bag) was created to solve a problem that fresh cherry packers had; cherries inherent short shelf-life.

In 1992 and, after much research, View Fresh MA technology was implemented at Orchard View Farms’ packing line and used to extend the shelf-life of fresh sweet cherries. View Fresh was the first MA bag of its kind used in the sweet cherry industry. Since its inception, the View Fresh bag has been a key component with fresh cherry packers allowing them to deliver millions of boxes of fresh sweet cherries across the globe. Since 1993 Orchard View Farms has been sending premium sweet cherries via ocean container to China, Japan and the U.K. Being the pioneer of Modified Atmosphere Packaging technology in the sweet cherry industry View Fresh has become the most well known packaging solution for sweet cherry packers around the world. Orchard View Farms has established itself as a worldwide industry leader in quality and the View Fresh logo is recognized for that quality! Many importers prefer fruit to be packed in a View Fresh bag as it is known to deliver quality fresh fruit.
